The concept of the new Panum bridge is based on the idea that the existing underground connection between Panum and the Rigshospital isn't sufficient enough. The bridge building is an answer to this challenge. Shaped in such a way that all the trees in the park are preserved, the bridge will not leave any structural element or footprint in the park. Despite this, the bridge does not only preserve the trees, it also enhances their beauty by providing individuals a different perspective on them. The bridge elegantly curves between the existing trees, creating small pockets of spaces, emphasizing different views across the area, and at the building itself.
